Before I began to sell my service to anyone else, I had to sell it to myself as there as many consultants/coaches out there - why me? Just like there are many clothing retailers, makeup brands, electricians, accountants, marketeers, designers etc....
The key to differentiation is a "unique selling proposition" (USP). Unless you can pinpoint what makes your business unique in a world of homogeneous competitors, you cannot target your sales and marketing efforts successfully.
Pinpointing your USP requires some hard soul-searching and creativity. Believe me I know...it took me ages to work mine out.
